Small Town Chatter

We are going on three weeks as store proprietors.  What a time it has been.  I am slowly getting used to waking up at 4:30 a.m. every morning.  Honestly, I'm not sure I will ever get used to this.  I never thought I would see the day I go to bed before it is dark outside but ya'll that happens a lot these days!

There is a pretty consistent group that comes in for coffee every morning.  I enjoy listening to the daily chatter.  The conversations can be anything from how hot it is, what happened over the weekend, to children leaving for college.

I'm sure this town is like ever other small town.  I am just fortunate to be apart of this one.  I am becoming quiet used to the daily routine of our customers.  I know who will need fuel, who needs parts to fix something that broke, and who just wants to come in and drink a cold drink and enjoy the AC.

We continue to clean up and get ready to put the kitchen in.  This week we rearranged some of the hardware.  When Ken took down some old paper we found price tags from the Western Auto days.  I couldn't bare to throw them away.  I'll find a project for them.  A few people came while we were moving things around and reminisced about those days.  That is one of my favorite parts about having this store....I love that this store brings about so many memories.

I hear the ding ding....gotta go!
